Anchor Bolts Overview

The expression “Anchor Bolt” refers to a big variety of studs, that are all gripped in 1 finish inside a fixed substance, and are threaded on one finish, to tighten equipment, or secure a construction. Distinct sorts of Anchor Bolts are utilized within the different industries, for various applications. For almost 30 years, Videx has been involved within the design and manufacturing of Anchor manufacturing equipment.

Following can be a description of a few of the more well-liked anchors, with a description of their applications, issues and solutions:One of the most widely used Anchor Bolts are "L" shaped (picture 1). Most Anchor Bolts are within the diameter range of ½" to 1". The short leg within the "L" shape Anchor Bolts varies in length from 1-½" inside the ½" Anchor Bolts, up to 3" within the 1" Anchor Bolts. The long leg varies in length from 6" to 30".The Anchor Bolts are manufactured on a fully automatic machine, that performs the following operations:¨ Pulling the wire from coil.¨ Straightening the wire.¨ Cutting to length.¨ Thread rolling on 1 finish of the part.¨ Bending to the final shape.

The Videx Totally Automatic machines are producing 1" Anchor Bolts at a rate of 70 PPM, and ½" Anchor Bolts at a rate of 120 PPM. The internal radius of the Anchor bolt is generally about ½ of the thread diameter. Smaller radius might trigger cracks within the portion, and premature wear of the bending fixture, whilst a larger radius will require excessive bending force.

An additional two types of construction element, called "Separator Studs" and "Tie Rod". The "separators are hi -tensile studs with a flat for a wrench and two breaking grooves close towards the threads on both sides of the part. The "separators" are used for support of concrete cast walls till the cement dries. The flat inside the center is utilized whilst the nuts are tightened, and also the two breaking grooves are utilized for breaking the threaded component from the stud, to remove the walls. The Tie rods are typically lengthy, double finish studs, with long threads (5" to 8"). The popular thread range is 3/8" and 1/2", but bigger sizes can also be identified in the market.Tie Rods are employed for tensioning and support of large constructions.
