what kind of saw blade do I use to cut vinyl blinds?
I bought cheap vinyl mini blinds for my bedroom and they are 1/2 and inch too wide. They are not the ones Home Depot will trim so I want to ask my son to do it but I dont know what saw blade to use. I have seen them cut blinds there before so I know he can use his chop saw.
I use my chop saw errr miter saw. (The big scary looking one you pull the handle down to make angle cuts in trim) Compact the shade...Put a rubber band on both sides where you want to have it cut so it does not wiggle and draw a marker line. Cut evenly left and right so the edges end up the same ( look at the hardware on top so you don't cut through it) Take the little caps off the bottom and hold on to them. By putting 2 rows of tape or a rubber bands on the left and right the little plastic pieces don't go flying all over. and the curtain stays straight. Takes 2 seconds to cut it down.

I like cutting two-by's with a chop saw. Or slicing tubes with a pipe cutter,
or trimming veneer with a router. Because all of those materials are rigid and
