OTF Knives Cheap: Knife Central

It is made of stainless steel, and the only markings stamped on it are: 14....and RICH A HERDER...Solingen.
There are ridges on two sides of the two jaws, But NO SHARP edges for cutting.
A one dollar bill is shown for scale and size comparison. I really have NO idea.

I REPEAT! this is not a crimping tool. It makes no wavy metal. Ridges do not face each other. It is not strong enough for galvanized duct work metal.
All jaws are flush with each other.

This tool is obviously a style of crimping tool.
It is small and light weight so I would think it could crimp rippled edges on a light weight (thin metal)
tube or pipe to make the crimped (male) end to connect to another tube.
Slip the open end over the edge of the tube and close down on the handle which will make crimped ripples. Continue around the edge till ripples are all the way around.
Then close the handle and slip the closed in inside the opposite end of the tube (the Female end) to open and correct the shape of the inside (Female end).
And example of a crimped male/female tube is tent poles that you assemble one into the other.
Sheet metal fabricators use (Crimping tools) to form crimped male ends on air duct. These are larger crimpers and more industrial types.
