97 Grand Cherokee Coolant leak?

I have a 97 Grand Cherokee with a 5.2L V8 that leaks coolant apparently only after the engine is shut off. It started after the water pump was replaced. I have replaced the CTS and thermostat gasket on my mechanics suggestion, but it didn't solve the issue. I am fairly certain that the leak is coming from the heater return hose. The firewall side is clamped in a typical way, but it looks to be attached, or at least sealed, directly into the block with some sort of silicone. My repair manual doesn't address this hose specifically, and I can't find info on the web. What is the proper way to replace this hose?

It could be coming from the intake manifold gasket or the timing cover gasket too. another possibility is the water pump bypass hose or a defective pump. was the bypass hose replaced? if you want to replace the heater hose that goes down next to the thermostat, it should just have a spring type of clamp holding it to the nipple coming out of the intake manifold. if the other one is leaking, that one goes to a pipe that is attached to the water pump. once again should be just a spring type clamp, recommend replacing with a screw type clamp. the pipe, however has to be removed from the old water pump and installed into the new one. could be leaking there. if that's the case, take the bolt out that holds the pipe in place and pull it out of the pump. the o-ring on the end of the pipe should have been replaced with the water pump. hope that helps.
